The exhibition "following the plants" unites positions of contemporary artists who deal with the fragile relationship between naturalness and artificiality, at the core of which are plants.
In 2018, Ursula Gaisbauer accompanied a Brazilian Tillandsia, which has not yet been scientifically described, from the Vienna Botanical Garden back to Rio de Janeiro, where it began to bloom after two years. This flower is the focus of the work "Till o.T.", in which the artist questions established power structures of scientific naming.
